Our Pyrenees hiking holidays and mountain treks are centered mainly in the Hautes Pyrenees region of France. From our base in the Vallee des Gaves, we can access 7 different valleys. The region is part of the Pyrenees National Park, and the Neouvielle and Pibeste nature reserves. It is also home to some of the most dramatic natural sites that can be found in the mountains of the world 

Artalens is a beautiful, 150 year old restored mountain house and barn, with traditional oak beams and a large open fireplace. Here you will find a friendly atmosphere and the Pyrenees way of life set in the peaceful mountain surroundings.

We are at the heart of valley, which allows easy access to some places of interest in the Pyrenees other than mountains. Famous sights such as Lourdes are just down the road.

After a day out experiencing the area you can return to Artalens and enjoy the mountain views from our terrace in the garden. In the cooler autumn or winter evenings you can enjoy a glass of hot wine by the log fire and relive your best memories of the day.
